Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce original content and license studio programs worldwide in exclusive service of Amazon’s Prime Video customers. We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights.
We are looking for a Talent Manager to support Amazon Studios’ Local Originals in Spain. In this role you will be responsible for establishing the talent experience and building a community for Prime Video’s creators and actors. You will act as a liaison between the company and its most valued asset: talent. In this role, you will act as the central cross-functional liaison amongst key internal stakeholder teams (e.g., Production, Marketing, PR, Awards, etc.), shepherding local on-screen (e.g., actors) and off-screen (e.g., writers, directors, producers, etc.) talent, throughout the lifecycle of a project (and beyond) at Amazon. You will support the development and execution of the process and framework for servicing local talent in Spain, with a focus on managing efficient workflows and being able to socialize, absorb, organize, and proactively address feedback from both talent and internal cross-functional stakeholders to drive the best talent experience. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and support multiple talents across multiple projects at one time.
This role will be based in Madrid.
Key job responsibilities
• Oversee the holistic talent experience at Amazon throughout the lifecycle of a project and beyond, supporting Casting, Creative Development and Marketing teams who work daily with on- (e.g., actors) and off-screen (e.g., writers, directors, producers, etc.) creators.
• Balance effectively supporting talent’s needs and feedback with delivering Amazon’s near and long-term creative and business objectives.
• Work closely with Creative Development and Business Affairs to track and manage overall and first-look deals (and contractual obligations) with local talent.
• Work closely with Marketing, PR, Awards teams to most effectively deploy talent’s support (while properly managing talent’s expectations) on relevant title/Studio/Amazon-related campaigns, promotions, events, and launches.
• Help talent navigate Amazon flywheel opportunities across other Amazon business units (e.g., Retail, Fashion, Alexa, Amazon/Prime brand ambassadors, Audible Podcasts, Music) to maximize talent relationships.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in marketing, film/television, communication, or related field.
• Extensive experience working closely with creative talent as an agent, talent manager, awards/PR/Public Relations/casting/creative executive, and/or creative producer
• Experience working on a production set and with other departments, such as Casting, Production, PR, Awards, Research, Business Affairs, and Legal.
• Strong understanding of the Spanish creative talent pool and trends
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills in Spanish and English
• Deep knowledge of the Spanish/European TV and digital video landscape
• Strong ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• Excellent business judgment
• Broad network of writers, producers, and artists
