Your role and work environment:

Money laundering, Tax evasion, Financial & Economic Crime (FEC) as a whole is affecting directly our economy & social welfare, by distorting prices, stimulating (cyber)crime, diverting resources to sterile sectors, weakening economic & social policies... Huge amounts of dirty money are still circling around us and criminals are looking for any opportunity to recycle the profits of their crimes through the financial sector.

ING plays a key role in the fight against FEC. Because we are a top European bank and we are expected to play a leading role. Because we want to fight efficiently the financial crime to support our purpose to empower honest people to stay a step ahead in life & business.

As a KYC Customer Journey Expert for KYC Tribe, it is your responsibility to ensure efficient and customer-oriented processes as well as the time-to-market of new solutions, by leveraging innovation, smart data and taking all regulatory requirements and hazards into consideration.

The CJE KYC is leading a squad part of the KYC Tribe delivering high value quality projects in the field of KYC and AML for ING Spain. The squad is part of a four-squad task force in charge of the local KYC-AML regulatory projects. 

Your key responsibilities:

As a Customer Journey Expert ...

• Together with other CJEs and the KYC Delivery lead, you drive delivery of the Tribe’s purpose. Jointly you are responsible from end-to-end for the processes and services of the Tribe, from vision to delivery

• You deliver input to the KYC Delivery Lead on status and plans, along with impediments, improvements and dependencies; you update the KYC Tribe Lead and KYC Delivery Lead and others CJEs on new developments that can have an impact on the portfolio

• You manage stakeholders, prioritize the backlog, and are clear about the product vision to guide your squad, keep focus and solve impediments

• For that, you ensure that squad improvements & development ideas are aligned with the tribe purpose and how to get there

• As a CJE, you are accountable to get the feedback from your stakeholders & have the same role as every squad member: improve the squad’s way of working & team performance

• You ensure that Business and Tech understand and complement each other’s expertise

• You ensure the purpose of your squad is aligned with the Tribe’s purpose and your main stakeholders

• You help your squad to deliver value incrementally and iteratively

You build a smooth KYC journey

• You gain a profound understanding of the regulatory framework, our customers and our colleagues – as part of the KYC Tribe, you have a deep knowledge of customer experience, regulatory requirements and be able to define the best KYC journey.

• You implement the strategy based on ING’s priorities and safeguard a smooth KYC journey.

• You collect insights from colleagues & customers to design and implement new efficient processes related to CDD and KYCO (KYC Orchestrator)

• You participate actively and take initiatives to improve the collaboration between senior management, KYC global and local experts.

• You ensure the follow-up on KYCO production issues.

• You test the different IT systems and ensure the absence of regressions linked to a change and automate these tests.

You innovate based on data science

• You leverage the way of working based on your knowledge of IT architecture landscape and data lake. You ensure correct mapping of relevant KYC data throughout the IT systems

You challenge the IT & data performance, initiate improvement and understand the future of data & IT components.

As a Customer Journey Expert KYC you will also need to:

• Support and promote Agile transformation in your squad and at Tribe level according to new way of working defined by the organization and Transformation Office. 

• Own a master or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Have proven knowledge in processes and operations, ideally within the AML regulatory scope

• Be able to tell the story and communicate clearly (written and oral) to various international stakeholders (advanced English is required)

• Be able to think in strategic terms, linking current events, business strategy and a long-term vision.

• Have strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and facts.

• Have strong problem analysis and judgement skills (recognize key information, problem identification, research, various methods of analysis, establishment of connections, etc.)

• Be able to lead complex programs, setting clear roadmaps and solving impediments.

• Be a team player, stimulate cross-border interaction and alignment between people, Tribes, Squads, Chapters.

• Be curious, passionate about innovation and stay on top of trends and developments within the lending and housing markets.

• Are creative and a pro-active out-of-the box thinker who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team in an agile environment.

• You give and ask for constructive feedback.
