Senior Finance Manager (m/f/d)

based in Wiesbaden.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

  • Responsible for providing financial guidance to the overall organization, as well as strategic and analytical support to the DACH Regional Finance Controller and DACH Regional Director
  • The position reports to the DACH Regional Finance Controller and has significant interactions with the country Commercial Department Heads and EMEA Senior Management
  • Responsibilities also include coordination and liaison with ADC EMEA Finance, CFS, and the other divisions in the country and region

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all financial activity is completed in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations
  • Manage, consolidate and report the financial results each month for the country and the consolidated region DACH, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and insightful analytics
  • Provide leadership and support LBE process, ensuring a proper preparation of area review, presentation of results, insights and future action for Germany as well as consolidate the DACH region for reporting purpose
  • Drive Blue Plan investment efficiencies by providing guidance and relevant assessment of ROI and payback
  • Provide financial and strategic support to Commercial Heads and Regional Controller during business reviews and in all other Financial process to Senior Management in ADC
  • Ensure that all risks and opportunities are evaluated, analysed and communicated in a timely manner to Regional Management
  • Coordinate activities with Demand Manager to ensure alignment of Demand and Finance processes
  • Organize and manage the Regional calendar to ensure all tasks and due dates are properly communicated and all activities are planned to allow time for execution
  • Work on process improvements opportunities to increase efficiencies at country/regional level

EDUCATION & BACKGROUND

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Finance
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in controlling or finance business partnering in a multinational company
  • Big 4 work experience is desirable
  • Experience in a regional consolidation role
  • Excellent MS Office skills, with a high level of expertise in Excel
  • Excellent system skills and knowledge of Essbase Excel
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA is desirable
  • Outstanding leadership & analytical skills
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to present and summarize complex issues in a simple way
  • Capabilities to challenge status quo and develop innovative processes & solutions
  • Self-Starter with problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ready to work under high pressure and tight deadlines
  • Fluency in German and in English
