What will you do?

Our Trade team is now looking for your next Trade Manager for Business Region Germany. As Trade Manager your role function is to manage and improve the profitability of all sailings of routes in the region through optimal forecasting, pricing, and capacity allocation, ensuring that revenues are maximized and costs minimized. The position also has the leadership responsibility for Regional Trade Optimizers and Business Analyst.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Ensure an optimal timetable that suits market demand and operation efficiency.
  • Short and long term fleet and capacity planning together with Fleet & Network.
  • Set regional pricing strategies for the three business areas to ensure optimal revenue.
  • Ensure profitability by actively optimizing the departures in terms of capacity allocation and price for our three main revenue streams Freight, Travel and OSS.
  • Consult Trade Director by analyzing capacity and conclusion of recommendations
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the Trade Management activities in line with company commercial strategies.
  • Monitor, report and simulate current and future business performance and market development, and suggest improvements for the same, to internal stakeholders.
  • Secure and perform updated and detailed cost analysis for all aspects of the regional operations
  • Share and communicate the demand forecast to enable a common view on future volumes with Finance, operations, HR and other stakeholders.

The must-haves:

  • Proven Management experience from maritime, transport, hospitality or logistics
  • Relevant accountancy qualifications
  • Proven experience from revenue management
  • Proven analytic skills
  • University degree
  • Fluent in English and preferably in German, both written and spoken
