We are looking for a R&D Software Engineer to be part of our Atos team

• Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software to address the requirements of several components and systems.
  • Test and document the resulting software to ensure proper operation.
  • Integrate software with other components using a microservices design pattern.
  • Prepare software applications for their deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Configure Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Design of information and data models for different applications.
  • Write technical reports describing work done.
  • Participation in technical tasks within international Research and Innovation projects, having to interact and collaborate with other companies, research centres and universities.
  • Collaboration in the conception and design of innovative ideas for new Research and Innovation projects.
• Education
  • Requires a BS, Master, or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines.
• Essential knowledge and professional experience
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Node JS, Golang or C/C++.
  • Prepare software applications for their deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to work with software configuration management tools such as Git or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment.
  • Advanced experience working with Linux.
• Additional knowledge
  • Experience using data engineering methods, ETL processes, data pipelines, databases
  • Systems specification using UML.
  • Participation in research projects (H2020).
• Competences
  • Fluency in English.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong personal soft skills sets: Communicative, enthusiastic, highly collaborative, proactive, self-driven.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly
