About Our Team VMware Tanzu is looking for an engineer interested in joining the Marketplace SRE team. This team is responsible for availability, change management, monitoring, emergency response and capacity planning for any infrastructure resources we will need Bitnami services stacks. Interested? You aim to work in a remote-based team, proactively sharing context You love to learn and share experience and knowledge with others You have a proactive approach to document things, for the team and your future-self Technical skills Experience with infrastructure-as-code automation (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes manifests and/or templating languages). You understand data structures, can investigate incidents, and differentiate memory, I/O and CPU bottlenecks Fluency in Linux and TCP/IP networking. Experience with multi-tenant production environments in at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience running Kubernetes workloads. Proficient knowledge of a scripting language (i.e. Shell, Python, Ruby etc.) and code versioning (e.g. git) Ability to communicate asynchronously with a remotely distributed team. Ability to own projects, working independently towards their completion. Ability to participate in on-call rotations. Ability to effectively communicate in English, in-written and verbally. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Experience building CI/CD pipelines, especially when applied to infrastructure testing. Experience with cloud-native monitoring and logging (i.e. Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, ElasticSearch). Experience managing Kubernetes infrastructure. Experience in databases & SQL Experience designing service stack architectures in cloud environments.
