A permanent position for a Design Standardization and Standard parts qualification engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

The successful candidate will join the Standardization and Standard Parts Qualification team within Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Center of Competence for EURODRONE, being  the first Airbus Defence & Space programme fully Digital Design,  Manufacturing and Services and implementing AGILE new ways of working.

This job position is for open minded and dynamic persons that want to work in trustful and funny environment and with working colleagues in other Airbus sites in Europe.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

• Manage the Standards Selection Lists and prepare, release and maintain updated the Technical standards and validate/manage the external standards required for the design/production of Eurodrone in the field of standard parts (Fasteners, mechanical systems, fluid systems,...) and basic design standards.
• Support the qualification of standard parts and managing of associated documentation. (Qualification test plan, Qualification Test Reports, Qualified Product List…). Support supplier selection and supplier qualification and provide support to internal and external audits.
• Provide support in standardization to Design, Procurement, Manufacturing and Services for the whole life cycle of the aircraft. (New standard parts for design and manufacturing, standards queries, resolution of reception discrepancies, assess standard parts related non-conformances and provide solutions as well as provide support for in-service issues and obsolescence topics …).
• Standardization digitalization: Contribute to digitalize standards & all its processes during its lifecycle, management of standardization modules in 3DX Standards modules, standard parts, materials tables, Surface Protections in FULL 3D.
• Management of CATIA standard parts libraries in 3DX
• Participation in project standardization Working Groups and/or MFT´s (Multifunctional team) related to standard parts.

REQUIRED PROFILE

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design
• Ability to work in international teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and team work spirit
• Background in AGILE ways-of-working
• CATIA and Office knowledge
• Willingness to travel
• English advanced level
• Spanish advanced level
