Mission and activities

Be prepared for the challenges of new programs like FCAS, in particular for the NGWS and ELOT pillars.

Obtain measured data to contribute to the design process with the goal to ensure that the Aircraft has the lowest probability to be detected in the electromagnetic domain.

Perform testing activities at aircraft and equipment/component level. Provide testing evidences that the aircraft and/or its systems are able to operate safely and efficiently in harsh electromagnetic environment.

Provide evidences to contribute to the Verification process of the systems.

Define new methods, tools and processes to measure RF properties of materials, validate LO performance of components.

Customize testing techniques to provide qualification evidences.

Required Competences and skills

• Strong background in electromagnetism theory.
• Wide knowledge on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) fundamentals.
• Practical experience on EMC tests, RF measurements and relevant instrumentation.
• Proven experience in laboratory tests, processes and instrumentation.
• Knowledge on integration at platform level (complete cycle: specification, validation, verification, certification/qualification) of components with electromagnetic requirements (sensors, antennas, radomes, radar absorbing materials and structures, etc.), a mutidisplicinary vision and system.
• Programming of tools/scripts (MATLAB, Python…).
• Post-processing tools and data processing algorithm design.
• Electromagnetic simulation and modelling. CAD management, computational tools and post-processing is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working in International Environments
• Good Technical skills, familiar with R/T and R&D projects.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as being active part of a team.
• Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects.
• Proactive and self-motivated
