AREA DESCRIPTION

Connectivity Innovation in Telefonica’s Global Innovation Unit is a team fully committed to developing new connectivity products and services that empower Telefónica's position in B2B digitalization. Products in our portfolio target strategic core  areas  for Telefonica with relevant potential underlying business and with high tech complexity. These products are managed as internal  startups with a dedicated team that covers the end to end of the product (Service design, Business and Development) from initial ideation stages to operational delivery to a business area - normally with a delivery window from launch to delivery of two years.

We are a highly motivated  multidisciplinary team with startup mentality with complete focus on solving problems and building things.

MISSION
The convergence of 5G, Edge Computing and Artificial Intelligence is bringng a new wave of industrial transformation. We are building a 5G Edge product to target this space that can be scaled to thousands of clients in the next years. The product shall target the end to end of the service integrating connectivity, compute and business aplications managed through a simple user interface.

The product will leverage new technologies as network sofwarization, the public cloud and micro-services based architecture to create a replicable product that can be managed in an automated manner through a cloud native lifecycle. To develop this product the technical team will combine network engineers, DevOps and Front/Back SW developers.

Your objective will be leading the tech team and tech strategy of the product to take it from Prototype to Production.


MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop frontend components, following SOLID principles
• Ensure isolate, scalable and resilient code
• Help in the industrialization of the CICD processes
• Collaborate with backend developers.
• Collaborate with devops on software requirements and helping to create automated ephemereal environments


NATURE OF PROBLEMS & CHALLENGES
-Develop a complex product with many underlying technologies
-We work as a startup; maximizing output with contained resources


EDUCATION REQUIRED / FORMACIÓN ACADÉMICA REQUERIDA
MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Math, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

SPECIFIC SKILLS
• Can manage uncertainty and can navigate the unkown
• Resilient - not always everything ends as expected!

• Team player, you will not walk alone. Shared responsability and commitment.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
-Experience on React and Redux.
-Proven CSS Skills.
- Low-level Javascript experience.
-Experience with Websockets.
-Experience in working with CICD process: continous integration,  testing, continous deployment.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
+4 years of experience developing React Frontend.

LANGUAGES
Fluent in Spanish and English
