As an experienced SoftwareEngineer at Appian you will help build automation (RPA, AI,ML) into the next generation of our core low-code applicationdevelopment platform and help tackle our most challengingtechnical problems alongside other brilliantengineers. 

PositionDescription

• In an autonomousscrum team you will develop simple yet elegant solutions to complextechnical problems at the intersection of Engineering andIT
• Build and maintain tools for deployment,monitoring and operations
• Manage availability,latency, scalability, security and efficiency of data access withinAppian by engineering reliability into software andsystems
• Play an integral part in the design,architecture, standards and Agile methods for our web-based andmobile platform
• Automate functional testing aswell as testing for performance andsecurity
• Respond to and resolve emergentproblems; write software and build automation to prevent problemrecurrence

PositionRequirements

• Youhave excellent experience building and delivering enterprisegrade software applications
• You’re atinkerer at heart with an innate ability to solve tough systemproblems
• You have experience in CI/CD in Cloudenvironments, like AWS and continuous integration systems, likeJenkins
• You thrive on solving labyrinthineproblems within large, high-performance, real-time, distributeddata systems
• You hold a BS in ComputerScience and/or equivalent years of experience writing code ina modern programming language (Javapreferred)
• You have demonstrableunderstanding of systems, algorithms, and OOdesign
• Agile is your mantra and quality is yourgoal
• Professional fluency in written and spokenEnglish isrequired
