AI/ML- Data Collection Project Manager en Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join the AI/ML Engineering Operations group. Our team directly contributes to the development of AI/ML speech algorithms across most of Appleʼs products, specifically in regards to Siri. In this role, you will drive critical data collection projects that provide data at scale for engineering teams to build robust Siri features for millions of customers worldwide. You will develop the collection protocol, create and manage project plans, define participant demographics, and coordinate with outside vendors. You will work with engineering teams to define the collection criteria including the specific configurations needed to ensure high-quality data.

Key Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience using Siri or other voice assistant
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, creative decision-making, and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Extremely comfortable working with customized hardware and software configurations enabled via a command-line interface
  • Having past experience in running operational projects in multiple international locations is a plus
  • Having past experience working with contractor or vendor teams is a plus

Communicate: Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status updates and critical issues as needed Coordinate: Coordinate discussions and break down complex issues into discussion topics to drive support from engineering teams, maintaining an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration Plan: Create and manage project schedules with clear dependencies, critical path and systematic methodology to communicate status; Manage risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant; Drive alignment across the organization and between teams Execute: On time delivery and deployment, identifying development and feasibility needs, establishing achievements for checkpoints and status updates Problem solve: Proactively identify issues and solutions; Coordinate with teams to prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality, including cross-functional dependencies. Education & Experience
Bachelors/Masters in Engineering or Business or equivalent program/product management experience

  • NOTE: This position ca be considered for two locations: Cork or Barcelona.
