The role:

The Director, South EMEA Marketing, leads the South EMEA marketing team and is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of marketing programs, campaigns and activities into the region and the delivery of marketing KPIs for the region. The South EMEA team is responsible for: France, Spain, Italy, Middle East and Africa.

The ideal candidate for this role has significant experience in field marketing, is a dynamic people leader and has proven ability to thrive in a matrix, multi-stakeholder environment. They will be instrumental in evolving our go to market strategy and ensuring the successful business performance of the region. Leading and mentoring a team of field marketing and ABM specialists, you will work closely and collaboratively with the rest of the EMEA / Global marketing teams, with sales leadership, their teams and other stakeholders to deliver your goals.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced  – A proven field marketing leader with 10+ years experience in a management role

  • Great Communicator – able to understand and translate messages to make them appropriate for your audience. Talk and present sales to Sales, marketing to Marketing and value to Customers

  • Amazing Leader - Proven leadership skills, developing and nurturing teams, talent and skills to innovate and continuously learn and improve

  • Collaborator  - Natural collaborator & relationship builder - can work effectively across different disciplines, time zones and cultures and thrives within a matrix organisation. Strong ability to make connections and identify opportunities that drive impact

  • What you will be doing in this role:

  • Lead all aspects of Tableau South EMEA marketing, including in region execution of the EMEA go-to-market strategy and coordinating all elements of an integrated, regional marketing program, including brand awareness and solution campaigns, events, executive briefings and digital marketing

  • Work closely with the regional and country leadership and sales teams to create and drive pipeline and sales

  • Maintain and grow a strong marketing team culture and morale. Develop our marketing team through a deliberate approach to career and performance management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for the South EMEA region collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation including EMEA / Global Marketing teams, country leadership, sales and other stakeholders

  • Ensure the optimal management of marketing budget, focusing on careful prioritisation of efforts to deliver against KPIs

  • Develop and execute effective Account Based Marketing plans and programs against our Big Bet accounts

  • Align and integrate South EMEA marketing efforts across multiple teams to inspire and empower the Tableau Community to evangelise Tableau

  • Act as South EMEA spokesperson for Tableau at industry events and with media, industry analysts, partners, customers and other key audiences for company positioning and messaging

  • To be an active and engaged member of the EMEA Marketing Leadership Team supporting the Head of EMEA Marketing to deliver their goals and objectives.
