Digital Product Owner en Sant Cugat del Vallès

HP's Partner Experience-Partner Tools & Programs team is looking for a product owner to manage a digital product and drive positive partner experience. The team is responsible for web, mobile experiences working closely with our IT organization, external agencies, and third-party vendors. Also, we oversee Partner Program execution working closely with Business Strategy, HP Sales and Partners.

If you are an IT professional, customer centric mindset, tech savvy, experienced product owner with experience working in Agile teams and utilization of Design Thinking techniques, you are the ideal candidate.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the needs of the business, function on an ongoing basis to drive product & process improvements
  • Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities 
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements 
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors and the industry 
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
  • Regularly monitors and reports on progress
  • Implements and manages project changes and evaluates results
  • Manage projects portfolio priorities and budget.
  • Communicates strategic process decisions and plans, program status, and issues and workarounds to achieve alignment with the business, function, or region.
  • Collaborates with operational teams and business stakeholders to gather business requirements, supporting the design of new or improved processes of significant complexity, and understand business/customer impact.
  • Manage vendors like software development agencies, alliance partners (relationship, work coordination, budget)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically, 6-10 years of related experience in IT/business operations.
  • Typically, 5+ years of project/ product management experience.
  • Experience with Liferay DXP Platform is a big plus
  • Project Management /Quality improvement training required and certification a plus (SCRUM, PMP.Etc.)
  • Knowledge on Design thinking and Change Management techniques to drive value for customers
  • Proven experience in managing external vendors (3rd party agencies)
  • Proven experience working in globally distributed virtual teams

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • In-depth knowledge of HP operational processes, industry trends, and customer/partner requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of core HP businesses and the revenue cycle.
  • In-depth understanding of Product Management systems and processes
  • Excellent communication skills (i.e. written, verbal, presentation), leadership, and influence skills. Mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required.
  • Strong business experience in multiple process areas with excellent project management and process development skills; ability to drive process improvements using industry standard quality improvements tools and concepts.
