We are looking for a researcher for an Advanced Therapies Medicinal Products (ATMP) project. ATMPs are innovative and heterogeneous class of research -driven biopharmaceuticals that are at the forefront of the biotechnological innovation and medicine. The project objective is to develop a new assay platform for ATMP focalized in gen and cell therapies.
Based in the technology available at Kymos (Spain) and at the subsidiary Prolytic (Germany) , new assays will be developed for the study of the protein capsid of carrier virus (Adenovirus, Adeno-associated virus-AAV, lentivirus, etc.), the DNA carried by the viruses and cell properties.
Assays related to proteins will be done at Kymos and DNA /RNA related activities will be done at Prolytic.
Examples of the assays to be developed are: aggregation, empty capsid vs intact viral particles, charge heterogeneity, transgene expression, characterization of the viral proteins, potency, residual DNA, cell morphology, isoenzyme analysis, mycoplasma, consistence of DNA code, gene copy number, DNA fingerprint, etc. Also, immunogenicity studies related the capsid and DNA coded proteins will be considered.
Depending of the experience in ATMP of the researcher, an initial training of one year will be done in an international recognized center in this field.
This project will be presented to the Tecniospring Industry program of Government of Catalonia in the 2021 call. This program is co-financed by the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions of the European Union.
