Job Description
Scope:
The Oncology Market Access Manager contributes to the development and customization of the Payer Value Proposition for institutional stakeholders and Key Decision Makers at regional and local level translating the clinical value of the products under responsibility into the specific value for payers in terms of patients’ health improvement, sustainability and innovation. The position reports to the Iberia OBU PVA Head.
Develop and implement Market Access Strategy for OBU products to optimise access in Spain Maximize value communication strategy of OBU products at national, regional and hospital levels Effective cross-functional work internally and externally Responsibilities:
Contribute to define and execute the Market Access Strategy Plan for Takeda Oncology products (in alignment with the corporate strategy) including strategical and tactical plan in cooperation with the relevant teams. Participates actively in the brand teams for the products assigned under his/her responsibility, creating marker access plans for all the key brands integrated with marketing and medical plans. Develop value communication tools and market access projects for OBU brands to support in field jobs. Anticipate challenges and opportunities for the products and adjust market access plans accordingly. Maintain in-depth knowledge of drug programs and policies to support the Access in national and local initiatives. Remain updated regarding the external market access environment and monitor market, competitors, messages and pricing & reimbursement conditions. Manage national and local access initiatives, specifically developing cross functional projects and supporting In-field Market Access team. Build solid Value Propositions and Access communication strategy. Develop effective and constructive working relationships throughout the Oncology BU and Access Team. Identify, map and profile of key national, regional and local market access stakeholders. Create/build and maintain a solid network of professional contacts within the Healthcare / Market Access setting & key stakeholders. Work closely with other market access roles, external consultants and across departments to ensure cross functional activities contributing to remove or minimise funding barriers at local level. Lead cross functional working teams when related to market access strategy. Engage in strong long terms relationships with payers and their influencers at regional and hospital Scanning external environment to identify and analyse trends and changed that can influence market access. Promote and conduct the affairs of the company with the highest standards of integrity, probity and corporate governance, demonstrating commitment to the values of Takeda-ism. Develops effective and constructive working relationships within the LOC particularly with in field positions, PVA, Medical and Marketing Creates a solid market access network of professional contacts within healthcare setting and key influencers Identifies and undertakes specific projects in order to drive market access forward Organize and attends meetings with key stakeholders’ groups promoting Takeda as the best in class partner. Proactively seek for new approaches within and outside Takeda and continually optimised activities based on the new learnings. Key Capabilities/Qualifications:
Critical Skills and Competencies
Education:
University degree within relevant areas (pharmacy, economics, health economics or related discipline) or other applicable health care education Experience
Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry, including high-level experience in market access in Spain and an established and maintained external network (Minimum 3 years of experience). Experience or knowledge on principles, methodologies and tools applied on pricing, reimbursement, outcomes research, budget impact modelling, clinical trial design, regulatory affairs, brand communications and other relevant areas Experience in delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders In depth knowledge of Spanish pharmaceutical market health care environment and competitive forces Experience in analysing complex issues, utilising strategic thinking and implementing tactical plans Experience in building local relationships/network with health care decision makers Strong teamwork skills - leadership, collaboration and good communication Fluency in Spanish and English Ability to work accurately with a passion for excellence & results Flexibility and dynamics approach being action oriented Demonstrate business ethics and judgement to enforce internal controls to comply with company’s policies and procedures.
