ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment

The successful candidate will be joining the Nonlinear Optical Phenomena group led by Prof. Dr. Lluis Torner.

We are looking for a post-doctoral scientist to join an experimental project on liquid-crystal waveguide optics. The projects aims at demonstrating new physical phenomena that occur in such structures and at exploring their potential applications. The successful candidates will carry their research under the supervision of Prof. Lluis Torner and Prof. David Artigas.

Skills/Qualifications

Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in Physics or Engineering.

The candidate should have a proven track record of experience in fabrication and manipulation of liquid crystals, ideally in thin-film geometries and strong oral and written communication skills.
