Key Qualifications
Excellent understanding of RF fundamentals and communications theory; Recent experience with current or upcoming wireless standards (e.g. LTE, 5G, mmWave, WiFi, Bluetooth); Knowledge of digital frequency and timing recovery, channel estimation and compensation, phase tracking, MIMO processing, beam forming, detection and demodulation algorithms; Knowledge of techniques used to ensure signal quality of single-carrier and multi-carrier signals; Knowledge of design using RF and Analog discrete components; Hands-on and programming experience with RF lab equipment: power sensors, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, switch controllers, wideband radio communication testers; Proficient programming in one or more of Python, C/C++, Matlab; Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts & scalable software design; Energy and drive to thrive in a start-up like environment.
Description
He/she will develop and optimize precision test equipment used by RF automation systems to test Apple’s newest products including iPhone, iPad, Mac and others for different wireless technologies. He/she will contribute to multi-facetted software based on Python and C++. He/she will work with analog signals in RF and baseband and with digitized samples to provide accurate and repeatable measurements. Furthermore, he/she will analyze results in conjunction with RF Hardware and RF System Engineering teams to identify and root cause issues. Position will require some international travel.
Education & Experience
Degree in EE or similar discipline with 3-5 years experience
