At Allianz, we are looking for a DevOps and Apigee Expert in order to join our newly established hub, based in Barcelona centre.

Our API Management team is responsible for the operations of Allianz Group’s corporate business platforms. We strive for developing best-in-class products that are used to increase security upon the exposure of our services to internet as well as to simplify the interaction between different services.

The DevOps and Apigee Expert will work within the Multi Cloud engineering team to build automation services from conception to operations. Will work with global teams to deliver high quality products and ensure engineering and operational deliverables goals are met completing the current architecture equipment, providing it with an expertise in the layers of infrastructure.

The candidate shows a willingness to travel and excels in pinpoint key challenges when designing and building these APIs based on Apigee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on multicloud
• environments (AWS and Azure).
• Works collaboratively so as to define/improve Apigee topology infrastructure.
• Does the provisioning, configuring and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code.
• Ensures configuration and compliance with corporate tools and policies.
• Administers and troubleshoots Linux-based systems.
• Supports to problem troubleshooting across a wide array of systems that
• communicate through cloud and on-premise network architectures.
• Builds and maintains operational tools for monitoring and analyzing of AWS infrastructure and systems (e.g. CloudWatch).
• Performs infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent with a focus on software engineering, large-scale system administration, networking or IT operations.
• Fluency in English required (min. B2/FCE).
• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, S3, R53, ELB, CloudWatch). Experience with Azure is also appreciated.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform and    Ansible Solid foundation of networking and administration of GNU / Linux systems in particular with Red Hat and CentOS Linux distributions.
• Strong knowledge of Apigee components architecture and installation topology configurations.
• Basic experience with design and development of REST API using Apigee platform.
• Good knowledge on API related concepts such as OAuth/SAML security, throttling, caching, logging, HTTP request and response modifications etc.
• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
