Area description:

Telefonica Global Roaming is responsible for the wholesale Roaming business within Telefonica Group. New Business & Strategic Partnerships is responsible for the development of new revenue streams through product creation and strategic partnerships. Responsibilites which includes but not limited to Business Development, Product Development and Commercial activity vs. third party customers.

 

 

Mission:

Explore and analyze new technologies related to the Roaming business like 5G Roaming, LPWA, eSIM and others to shape the impact of such technologies on the development of the Connectivtiy Hub ansd Sponsored Roaming service.

Manage relationships with internal  or external stakeholders as customer and provider of mobile wireless communication services, from contract negotiations and management to operational incident resolution, covering the full value chain.

 

 

Main responsibilities:

You will participate in the commercial development of Connectivity HUB (Sponsored Roaming /Multi-Imsi Solution) by engaging in Sales Activity, IMSI Donor management, development of platform partnership (alternatively in-house deployment) and business opportunity analysis.

Lead projects from a commercial and technical view point to establish or complement existing B2B Roaming portfolio.

Actively engage and drive sales of Connectivity HUB (Sponsored Roaming /Multi-Imsi Solution) in relation to specific projects to be mutually agreed with line manager.

Commercial roaming pre-sales expert to perform B2B  Roaming RFQ analysis, response and proposal presentation in front of Telefónica B2B customers. Focused on strategic propositions.

Discover and propose new roaming business opportunities ensuring both commercial and financial viability by building the necessary business cases.

Lead and coordinate the implementation of opportunities under the T4T B2B Roaming concept with partners, OBs and rest of Telefónica areas.

Analyze opportunities driven by technological evolution and promote business transformation to more efficient models.

Business cases development and scenarios simulation.

 

 

Nature of problems & challenges:

Allignment of different stakeholders, inside and outside Telefónica Group, in order to achieve short and long term goals.

Fully international and distributed heterogeneous teams

 

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunication is preferred)

Master’s degree is a plus

Technical skills:

• Awareness in mobile platform and services architecture. Preferably an understanding of:

- Circuit switch domain

- SS7/SIGTRAN signalling basics

-  MAP signalling

- CAMEL control capabilities

- 3G Packet Core and Evolved Packet Core (4G)

- GTP

- LTE-M and NB-IoT

- VoLTE

- Diameter signalling for 4G and real time control purposes

- GRX/IPX fundamentals. QoS definition. Service Awareness

- SIP/IP based voice services

- Familiar with Steering of Roaming techniques

• Preferably experience in developing international roaming services

• Preferably knowledge in GSMA IR documents ruling the technical deployment of International Roaming services.

• Preferably Finance knowledge (business cases, price scenarios, etc.) or an interest to develop in this area.

 

 

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in mobile platforms and services architectures with an interest in or preferable a background in a commercial environment, business analytics and/or finance, with experience and/or a strong interest in working in an international wholesale business environment as part of an international team.

Previous solid technical expertise.

Knowledge of the technological tools and IT systems that support the Roaming business.

 

Languages:

English - negotiation level

Spanish – negotiation level
