Telefónica Global Roaming (TGR) develops the international wholesale roaming business on behalf of all Telefónica Affiliates globally, covering brands like o2, Movistar and VIVO. We believe that roaming is the perfect service to provide seamless connectivity to the customer across borders. We select preferred roaming partners globally, with whom we trade the traffic generated by Telefónica customers to optimise wholesale revenues and cost.

GTU Business Operations Team

• The Business Operations team within the Global Trading Unit is responsible for most of the internal operational activities contained by the trading team. Its three main pillars of responsibilities are:
• Settlements between TGR and roaming partners contracts
• Create and optimize GTU tools and processes
• Bring business analysis to the commercial team to improve company’s performance and reliability of forecasting figures. 

What are your challenges with us?

As a GTU Business Operations Manager, your main responsibilities and activities are:

• Responsible for creating contract settlements between TGR and 3rd party operators.
• Responsible for negotiating and agreeing contract settlement figures with 3rd party operators.
• Responsible for the Regional tracking of the business by monitoring, calculate the impact on roaming prices and highlight risks and opportunities to the business.
• Identify, test, and develop potential improvements to GTU tools and processes
• Support with reports on the roaming evolution, market research and analysis on ad-hoc and regular basis.
• Promoting the development and implementation of reports, developing standard reports and processes that add value and improve the business results.
• Create Group roaming commercial strategies by crafting business cases and simulating scenarios with different wholesale commercial conditions, to further negotiate commercial wholesale agreements with roaming partners to maximise TGR company objectives.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business.

Experience:

At least 2-year employment background in areas related to business analysis and/or finance, with experience and/or a strong interest in working in an international wholesale business environment as part of an international team.

In addition, the following knowledge and competencies are preferable:

• Knowledge and understanding of the International Roaming business.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with related technological tools and IT systems, which support the Roaming business.
• Finance knowledge (business cases, price scenarios, etc.).
• Result and objective oriented working style.
• Analytical and strategic thinking.
• Good communication skills and the capacity to build transparent relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Good team building and team working abilities.

Language skills:

English - negotiation level

Spanish knowledge is much appreciated.

Location:

This position could be placed in Madrid (Spain) or Ismaning (Germany)
