At Allianz we’re looking for a SAP BW Expert (Financial Reporting) based on HANA in order to join our newly established Branch, based in Barcelona centre. We’re thinking of highly committed professionals who look forward to become a part of a state-of-the-art tech company.

 

Allianz Technology is the internal IT provider of Allianz globally. In our SAP department we take care of several Group Financial Closing & Reporting systems for Allianz SE.. We provide a variety of SAP-based IT solutions for financial and regulatory reporting for our Global Finance and Accounting department with HQ in Munich, Germany.

 

The candidate will join the existing Group Data Warehouse & Reporting team, based in Barcelona. Working closely with our HQ in Munich, this is an exciting job opportunity to contribute to the group financial reporting process and work in a fast-paced, multinational environment with a strong focus on best practices. Following the “DevOps” philosophy, we endeavour to keep the required time to a minimum, from the first idea developed with the customer to the finished reporting application, using agile methods where appropriate.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develops and implements new reporting applications with SAP BW technology (based “on HANA” or “BW/4 HANA”).
  • Reengineering existing and legacy applications to work with HANA.
  • Creates detailed financial customer reports using latest SAP reporting tools.
  • Continued development of existing financial reporting applications.
  • Close support to international customers within and outside of closing periods.
  • Ensures seamless operations at application level (no traditional monitoring or system operations involved).

Requisitos

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience:

 

  • University degree or equivalent in IT Computer Science.
  • Relevant IT experience (3-4 years’ experience, ideally in financial services sector) with SAP BW (based on HANA), e.g. HANA calculation views, DataStore objects, function modules, ABAP OO, ABAP legacy code, ABAP debugging.
  • Experience in front-end (lumira etc.) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of data handling, data staging, application design and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting operations.
  • Fluent in business English, spoken and written (min. B2/FCE). German is a plus.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting applications and financial reporting is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Business Administration is a plus.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • High customer focus.
  • Ability to identify and initiate appropriate actions to remediate technical issues and incidents.
  • Comfortable to work pro-actively in an international team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across all stakeholders, internally and externally. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with various departments within an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment (team player).
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A DevOps mindset (“you build it, you support it”).
