Formed through the merger of IMS Health and Quintiles, IQVIA offers a broad range of solutions that harness the power of healthcare data, domain expertise, transformative technology, and advanced analytics to drive healthcare forward.

The Patient Centred Endpoints (PCE) Sciences group is growing!  We are looking to expand our team of PCE Scientific Consultants in Europe, to include additional experienced Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) Scientists.

Our remit at IQVIA is to amplify the patient's story through science and technology to improve outcomes. The PCE Sciences group aims to help pharmaceutical and biotech companies reliably measure and interpret the patient's story about their disease and treatment experiences. Through this we can derive meaningful outcomes for patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals, and ultimately improve the life and health of patients.

As a COA Scientist at IQVIA you would be providing scientific advice and leadership to ensure that the patient's story is appropriately captured and caveated in research activities.  You’ll be using modern and rigorous scientific methodologies to undertake primary and secondary research focused on generating a comprehensive understanding of a disease and treatment paradigm.  And you’ll be translating qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful value messages and communicating these to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulatory authorities, etc.

You’ll also be involved in COA selection and development, and COA measurement implementation. Participating in external thought leadership, business development activities, including proposal writing and attending client meetings will also be challenges within this role.

Ideally, you’ll have some previous management experience, as you’ll be providing PCE scientific leadership to study teams and acting as coach and mentor to junior scientific team members.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have at least 5 years of COA experience in drug or device development. You’ll also need:

  • Relevant advanced academic degree & training in COA methods, including the emerging regulatory and payer perspectives
  • Fluency in the English language (written and spoken) and good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Ability to work autonomously, and have self-drive with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and work in multi-disciplinary teams
