Your role and work environment:

You deliver in Production a working software. It includes the documentation and parameters that can help reaching that goal. Also, you support Production by analysis and fixing bugs.
You add value on that technical layer but always keeping in mind the rest of the technical stack as part of the Squad responsibilities.


Your key responsibilities:
As a Dev. Engineer you: 
Analyze and design the application (or the technical configuration); 
Code applications and/or package integration in one (1) or more (3GL and/or 4GL) programming languages, scripting languages and frameworks (or building and maintaining scripts and/or configuring packages technically); 
Code with good design, quality and security.
Continuous Delivery (Compile, Build, Package, Deploy); 
Test-Driven Development (TDD) and test.
Debugging and profiling; 
Software configuration management and version control. 
Refine the User Stories and Tasks into Subtasks.
Refine the Acceptance Criteria.
Meet the Acceptance criteria with as much test automation as possible.

Proven track record and technical skills and capabilities:
Analysis and design capabilities.
TDD, BDD, DDD.
Functional Programing (Scala).
In depth knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring and Akka.
Good coding Skills on all Middleware layer.
Experience in SOA (Service oriented Architecture) and API Management. Proficiency in web-services and web API related technologies (SOAP / REST, WSDL, XML, JSON).
Microservices.
Experience in EDA (Event-Driven Architecture) and middleware and messaging platforms like JBoss, WSO2, TIBCO, RabbitMQ, etc.
Front End or/and Back End awareness (understand the global architecture).
Test automation (e.g. regression, functional and integration tests).
Version-control: Git.
5 years of experience on similar technical stack.
Retail banking knowledge.
Testing framework.
Gherkin language.
NoSQL Database (Cassandra).
Sonar.
Jenkins (user level).
Experience in Core Banking solutions, specifically Profile, and Oracle Database. 
Good communication skills (written /verbal).
Ability to operate at own initiative with a pro-active attitude, within the directions and confines of management and Bank policy.
Ability to liaise with a broad range of people, including line management, senior management, external suppliers and related people.
Problem solving ability and strong analytical skills.
Accuracy and attention to details.
Experience working in a team; exhibits clear behaviour of a team player Execution driven.
Excellent oral and written English skills
Ability to work on an international level.


You contribute to all type of tasks of the team (Analyze, Design, Code, Test, Build, Release and Support) in order to create the platform core software.



A Dev Engineer who learns and shares both functional and technical knowledge who collectively share responsibility in decisions and implementation of Squad objectives.
