Ops Engineer (Environments) en Madrid

Your role and work environment:

As an Ops Engineer (Environments) you provide services to clients on hardware and software components from a technical point of view. 


Job responsibilities include the operation, support and maintenance of IT infrastructure components and cover execution of Agile development and ITIL processes on IT infrastructure level. 



Your key responsibilities:



As an Ops Engineer (Environments) you: 



Operation and maintenance of operating systems Redhat Enterprise Linux 7, middleware and web server technologies.


Build and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, updating and deploying application components and its database schema’s and tables.


Develop the next generation application hosting platform based on containers and open shift.
Perform Test and failover activities.


Incident and problem management.


High availability, capacity management and load balancing solutions.


Performance and configuration management.


Provide support and advice to users on using technology within an operational environment.


Provide support for systems and service management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment.

Proven track record and technical skills:



Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related bachelors.


Redhat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) Certification experience level.


Minimum 3 years defining, developing and setting up systems/parts of infrastructure architectures in complex corporate environments.


Knowledge and experience on the following technologies:


- Knowledge on Continuous Delivery concepts, processes and methods.


- Knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux, PL/SQL, Java, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache.


- Knowledge of Virtualization and cloud environments.


- Knowledge on containerization (Openshift, Kubernetes) and component deployment frameworks.


- Knowledge and experience on Microservices architectures principles and challenges.



Experience in maintaining Production environments, following ITSM principles.


Strong knowledge on Ansible.


Strong scripting skills.


Building and deployment of services.


Experience in systems administration and operations.


Communication skills being able to transmit complex concepts in an easy way adapted to IT and business partners.


Knowledge and experience in Agile scrum, team working and self-organizing skills.


Excellent oral and written English skills.


Ability to work on an international level.



Your work environment:



The work location is Las Rozas, on the outskirts of Madrid although, it will change to Calle Vía de los Poblados, 1, 28033 (Madrid) during 2020.


You will work in close connection with an international network of colleagues and leaders in the ING countries.
