Your role and work environment:

As an IT Development Chapter Lead you create opportunities for your chapter employees to reach their full potential and encourages team development.  You create a culture in which employees take responsibility, help each other to be successful and remain a step ahead. 


You manage the performance review process for your chapter colleagues. 

 
You work part of the time in the IT Engineer fields: Be a regular squad member and continue to apply your specific expertise to your squad’s backlog and positively contribute to the vision in your area, introduce and nurture innovation within it.


You discuss the chapter's resource planning and development needs with the IT Area Lead. Encourage knowledge sharing and the application of standards within the field. 



Your key responsibilities:


As an IT Development Chapter Lead you:


 
Work with your peers to overcome challenges and, collectively, do a better job. You co-create the area vision and effectively resource the tribe and squads.


You are a regular squad member and continue to apply your specific expertise to your squad’s backlog.


Positively contribute to the vision in your area / tribe, and introduce and nurture innovation within it.


You are the hierarchical lead of your chapter, you support and develop your colleagues through effective knowledge sharing and resource usage, and promote the OAWoW culture.


Together with the Product Owners and Agile Coaches, you help others to be more successful by focusing on craftsmanship, improving and sharing the Way of Work, and creating a high performing team.


You are the lead for performance management, training plans, remuneration and daily people management for your chapter.


You ensure the tribe and squads have the right people and skills and develop the members of your chapter.


You lead the chapter meet-up and ensure way of work related information is shared and craftsmanship improved.


You analyze market trends and derive the relevant and for the future necessary adjustments in the craftsmanship.

Proven track record and technical skills:



A degree in computer science or a comparable education on an academic level.


Preferable Experience with Containers, Ansible, Puppet, Linux.


Preferable Experience with Jenkins, GIT, Test tooling, Continuous Delivery.


Preferable experience with development Java, JavaScript, Python, Microservices.


Managerial experience within an agile organization, and inspiration to continuing working in this matter.


Strong analytical skills.


Strong people management skills.


Excellent oral and written English skills.


Ability to work on an international level.



Your work environment:



The work location is Las Rozas, on the outskirts of Madrid although, it will change to Calle Vía de los Poblados, 1, 28033 (Madrid) during 2020.
