We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Epidemiologist to join our Real World  Evidence (RWE) Epidemiology and Outcomes Research team, as an Associate Director.  This is a great time to join our fast-growing group. As healthcare stakeholders increasingly need evidence to support regulatory, reimbursement and prescribing decisions, the IQVIA RWE team offers a comprehensive evidence approach to meet our customer’s unique needs.

In this role you’ll be work closely with global clients and other functional groups, providing epidemiology and outcomes research leadership for observational research on the natural history of disease and comparative safety, effectiveness and cost of medical treatment.  You’ll also be designing methodologically sound studies to meet project objectives and regulatory and payer requirements. Conducting and supervising analyses, evaluation and reporting of studies will also be a key part of your role.

You may responsible for managing a group of Epidemiologists, and you’ll also be providing review for work of peers and junior staff.  From a project perspective, you’ll identify client-related, budget-related and internal issues that may require attention or escalation, and independently generate content and direction for business development proposals.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have experience of the design, planning and conducting of observational studies, of comparative effectiveness, safety and cost.  You’ll need significant epidemiological experience, alongside a higher level degree in public health, epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics or a relevant scientific field.

You’ll also need to have:

Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.

The ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients in a global and matrixed environment.

An ability to work to multiple deadlines, and prioritise work as needed.

Ideally, previous line management experience, with a record of managing and supporting the development of your direct reports (although this is not essential).

These roles can be based at any of our EMEA offices,(including the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Netherlands) and we are happy to discuss home-based working.
