Objectives of the role:

As Technology Strategy Manager, you are in the lead for defining the future technology strategy of Telefonica Germany. This role ensures that our technology is always up to date with the newest innovation trends, and that innovative solutions are translated into concrete strategy and operationalized in the organization. You will be part of the “Architecture, Innovation & Transformation (AIT)” department, reporting directly to the Director of AIT. This unit is responsible for defining the future IT enterprise architecture, designing the IT solutions, developing the technology strategy and managing the overall IT transformation.

What will be your key tasks/challenges?
• Evaluation of the telecommunications and IT market in order to identify technology trends and innovations that are relevant for Telefonica Germany
• Assessment of the costs and expected impact of the relevant technology trends
• Definition of the long term technology strategy, as well as facilitating relevant decision making and interactions with Telefonica Global Group
• Support in operationalization of the strategy in the relevant organizational units
• Consistently challenge the status quo of current structures, procedures, technical solutions and relevant capabilities to ensure successful implementation

What do you bring?
• Bachelor or master in IT or similar educational background
• 3-5 Years of working experience in technology consulting or technology strategy, preferably in the telecommunication section
• Skills: Deep understanding of IT and technology trends, structured problem solving, analytical capabilities, presentation skills towards senior management, project management
