DESCRIPCIÓN

Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary reading device and one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon. You will work on developing next generation Web Reading products and experiences that will be used by millions of customers. If you get excited about having big influence this is the opportunity, your work will as serve as the entry point to Amazon customers discovering books, buying books and reading books on the web. This team has several firsts in Kindle, launching several innovative products worldwide that have changed the way customers read today – the first Kindle App under 2MB, Web Manga in Japan, Look Inside, etc.

The Role:
You will work on one or more areas from content ingestion, content delivery, methods for protecting content, rendering of books, UI experiences and all great features that our Kindle Readers support today. You must dive deep in Java, AWS Services, JavaScript, HTML, Web Browsers Engines, Web, modern JavaScript frameworks, operating systems, mobile environments and browsers. You will work in innovative, fast paced environment, work both independently and collaboratively in a team. You will have excellent coding and design skills.

REQUISITOS BÁSICOS

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in software development.

• Experience with web technologies (object-oriented JavaScript, HTML), Java, experience with JavaScript frameworks (such as React, Backbone, Angular, Ember, Electron) and web standards.




REQUISITOS DESEADOS


• Experience with Browser Engines and its components such as Document Object Model, Fonts, Layout, JavaScript Core, Extensions, Plugins, etc.
• Experience designing and implementing complex Web Applications, Web Services, Web Browsers or UI.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a high degree of ownership and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent web design skills with attention to Accessibility.
• Experience with Content Protection (such as DRM, Water Marking, Fraud Protection, etc.)
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
• Robust project planning/execution skills including estimating, scheduling, and executing on committed schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills, have a high degree of ownership, works independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
