Senior Finance Analyst

PanEU Consumables finance team currently provides support to Pantry, Programs, BWS and Unity and is expected to grow in scope of responsibility to address a more strategic set of issues (Unity, FCF initiatives, Regulated Selection, Low ASP initiative, EU Bi-annual review docs, EU Path to profit, EU Consumables AVN, etc.).

PanEU team seeks a Senior Financial Analyst based in Madrid, Milan, Munich or Paris to support initially Pantry FR/IT/ES and other strategic projects (TBD). Pantry is likely the 2nd most complex GL in Retail (after Softlines) given it requires to understand i) new/repeat customer behavior when assessing results (growth, promo performance), ii) customer recurrence (ideally through customer cohort analysis), iii) basket-building P&L dynamics (impacting promotions, selection decisions), iv) operations/Transportation cost dynamics (very material part of cost structure).

As FRITES Pantry main finance counterpart, you will have ownership of:
· Working with FRITES pantry country leads to steer the business
· Identifying risks and opportunities to continuously improve the business
· Providing financial and business analysis and recommendations to business partners
· Preparing regular meetings to review financial performance with EU leadership
· Working with the Trans/Ops teams to ensure effective cost management and to provide value adding information for decision making
· Supporting the Finance and Business teams as required on ad hoc, longer term analysis requests or CX changes

· Minimum of Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background
· Strong analytical skills
· Advanced Excel
· Knowledge of SQL (or strong motivation to learn it)
· An eye for detail and a passion for data (and understanding it)
· Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
· Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes.
· Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
· Ability to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively.

· MBA preferred
· Finance experience from Operational, Retail, FMCG or technology companies within an international environment.
· Strong communication skills and comfortable with sharing to very senior audiences
· Comfortable working in remote teams
· Demonstrates ability to run their own projects and analysis
· Strong SQL skills
