Job Summary:
Support the local category team in their key deal renewals to ensure all deals in line with regional guidelines and strategies.
Support the local Creative team to manage and control their costs and respond to analysis requests from Regional head of Creative.
Ensure that all local marketing spend is tracked against AOP and return on investment is assessed for the key initiatives.
Also support the CPC Senior Finance Manager with the identification of new business opportunities whilst understanding the need for focus on the key scalable opportunities in the market.
The role requires superior analytical and commercial support skills. The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with the commercial team in Spain and also at the regional level (Finance and Category/Franchise).
Responsibilities:
Commercial Support
Partner with the CPC Spanish team to support them on their Sales & Marketing efforts in Spain including franchise development, retailer campaigns, consumer marketing activations, local retailer strategies and local brand loyalty deals.
Partner with the local Category teams to ensure they manage their local deals and any regional deals managed from Spain in line with Regional guidelines and strategies. Work to ensure deals are contracted in a timely way with all exceptions minimised.
FP&A process
For Publishing and Licensing work closely with the Regional Finance team on the revised FP&A processes for FY20 which aim to streamline the work done locally i.e. regional licensees planned and submitted by the regional team only.
Ensure that regional guidance on the process is followed closely and all deliverables submitted on time and with the right level of explanation and insight.
Liaise with the Regional Finance team, Controllership team and local CPC team to ensure accurate quarterly closes in Spain for CPC.
Marketing and Creative Spend
Ensure that marketing spend is tracked closely against regionally agreed strategies. Set KPIs to measure the success of individual marketing activations (retailer or consumer focused).
Support the creative team spend to ensure its tracked appropriately by franchise/category and within overall budgeted spend.
Insights
For the local insights that are tracked in Spain ensure that timely updates are provided to the CPC team. Also share regionally provided insights with the CPC team.
Keep up to date with trends and development in the Licensing and Retail sectors in Spain.
Business Development
Support the CPC Senior Finance Manager with the identification of new business opportunities whilst understanding the need for focus on the key scalable opportunities in the market.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree level essential and Accounting qualification /MBA preferable + experience of an equivalent commercial role.Experience of working within the retail / licensing FMCG sector preferably for a US corporation.
Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders
Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and not only resolve problems.
