Health and Safety Manager (m/f)

With your ability to Insist on the Highest standards, we’ll need you to be able to identify compliance gaps and follow up of Health and Safety agenda of all of our Centers of Amazon Spain Fulfillment SL in Spain.

Amazon Spain Fulfillment SL in Spain is rapidly growing: Sortation Centres, Delivery Station sites. This is where we manage fast-moving deliveries. Our associate teamsreceive, classify, process and ship parcels out.

It’s in this logistics environment that we will need an experienced and strategic Health and Safety Manager to play the critical role of Jefe Servicio Prevención Propio. You will be coordinating, supporting and auditing the Health and Safety compliance of the different centers national wide.

Your responsibilities:

You will be managing key aspects of output: people management, metrics, productivity targets, and process improvements. The extent of your duties will include:
• Supporting the centers with the definition, implementation and follow up of Health and Safety strategic plan for the year (Risk Assessment and “Planificación Actividad Preventiva”)
• Support for the implementation and review of local legislative requirements, across all SP-based Operations sites,
• Proactively collaborating on the definition of a Health and Safety Management system across all SP-based Operations sites, integrating Amazon standards when available,
• Proactively collaborating on Health and Safety projects, across all SP-based Operations sites,
• Providing authoritative guidance on Health & Safety compliance to all stakeholders, especially on topics related to Labor Authorities (inspections),
• Annual legal audit arrangements and follow up for Health & Safety management, plus periodical inspections and reviews with the centers.
• Provide top management with information about HS legal compliance according to Spanish regulations.

You have the below? Great!

· Educated to degree level Diploma
· You have significant Health and Safety experience, ideally gained in a logistics environment,
· You’re a chartered member of an industry body representing the interest of Human Resources, such as IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent,
· Flexible approach to work, while always managing your own priorities and workload,
· You’re able to effectively lead and manage a team,
· You possess excellent communication and influencing skills: you’re also results-oriented and tenacious,
· You’re also comfortable communicating at all levels of seniority within a large organisation,
· You possess an in-depth understanding of EU & Spain Health and Safety legislation,
· You can quickly build credibility, using your influencing skills and strategies to build buy-in for change,
· Demonstrable record of driving significant change through an operation.
· You are fluent in Spanish and in English

· You possess experience of Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies,
· Qualifications or experience of environmentally-conscious initiatives would be advantageous.
