Key Account Manager – Walt Disney World & Disney Cruise Line en Madrid

Job Summary:

Deliver Walt Disney World (WDW) and Disney Cruise Line (DCL) revenue and sales targets through Spain & Portugal travel trade partners and develop successful trade relationships that will enable long term growth.

- Ensure the implementation of yearly approved sales plans.

Responsibilities:

In charge of account management and sales promotions with travel trade partners.

- Account management in coordination with the KAM team for joint trade partners.

- Achieve set objectives which support the overall strategy of WDW & DCL in Iberia.

- Develop effective sales and revenue opportunities to deliver annual targets.

- Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with customers and trade partners, supporting their needs, goals and priorities.

- Define and implement sales and marketing plans with key accounts and execute them in a timely manner.

- Be innovative, creative and proactive, leveraging knowledge of travel market to find and implement new opportunities to develop sales and revenue.

- Create and execute trade activation plans through dedicated presentations, training programmes and other events as required.

- Have an active role in the planning, forecasting process and provide input for Annual Operating Plans and revenue targets.

- Provide detailed commercial insight through the use of reporting tools and systems working with O-EMEA commercial/finance teams based in the UK. Leverage in market intelligence to ensure informed decisions are made.

- Become an expert on WDW & DCL brands, products and way of working, showcasing Disney values both internally and externally.

- Develop strong relationships with the Commercial and Marketing Manager and wider UK central teams ensuring internal coordination and efficient information flow.

- Work in coordination with local management to build a strong relationship with The Walt Disney Company LOB’s to promote and develop synergy actions and business opportunities in conjunction with key trade partners.

- Follow-up of business and activation plans, ensure partners efficiently promote WDW & DCL (permanent communication workflow & product updates), monitor and report sales performance.

- Alignment with WDW & DCL Marketing Manager and the wider Spanish TIMS marketing department for travel industry marketing activities.

- Attend and support key travel industry trade shows, workshops, familiarisation trips, ship tours and training events to represent WDW & DCL.

- Support other work related tasks and projects when required by the Country Head/UK team.

Basic Qualifications:



Min. 7-9 years sales or travel industry sales experience required.

- Iberia market knowledge desirable.

- Proven experience of key account management with track records required.


Large matrix organisation experience required.

- Experience in building and delivering business and training presentations required.

- Experience managing budgets desirable.

- Commercial negotiation required.

- strategic planning experience desirable.
