For us, a Feature Engineer is someone who:

 

Knows about: Bankingbusiness from a functional and technical point of view

Is a master of:Refinements of epics in user stories

Is an ace in: Managestakeholders and help coordination of a project

Has worked in: Developmentprojects in financial, fintech, agile.

 

Whose day at ING looks very much like this:

 

7.00 - 10.00 h Arrivesat the office (Flexible start time)

At 10.00 h Dailyplanning

At 11.00 h  If there is refinement session, explains tothe team the functional stories and helps them to create the technicalsubtasks.  

At 12.00 h Managestakeholders, and with the help of the PO, analyses new functionalities.

At 13.00 h Takes a breakand goes down to the canteen.

At 14.00 h  Help the PO and the business team to createbusiness opportunities from technology.

At 16.00 h Coordinatestesting and validation of implemented solutions.

16.00 - 19.00 h (Flexible end time). Goes to thepaddle tennis court for a game.

Win or lose, a shower andoff to home.
