Head of Industrial IoT

MISSION:

The target is to build a value proposition on B2B Industrial IOT products: Connect Industrial IoT Solutions through IoT networks including LTE and 5G.

• We offer our clients a network that they can manage and adapt to their industry 4.0 needs.
• We offer Industrial IoT services that, together with our network proposal, offer multiplier results solving needs for increased production and / or cost reduction.
• We provide industrial clients with vision, objectives and guidelines that allow them to develop the strategic alliances and ecosystems of Industrial IoT partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A qualified candidate should have experience with developing, managing and marketing wireless products and services though the agile product development process. They will have a track record working with Enterprise Industry segments and Multinational Tier-1 customers that utilize private and public wireless services. Broad knowledge, curiosity, and a considered point of view on network densification, small cells and how 4G/5G will evolve in the Enterprise  spaces is desired.

Lead the technical product activities in the IIoT team in setting the technical product vision, consisting of the following functional areas:
Business Development
Develop the opportunity in the OBs, support the complex or strategic deals. Build the Business Vertical in the OBs. Training Local Sales Specialist and Local Presales to guarantee a commercial success. Responsible for the Revenues defined in the Strategic Plan.

Portfolio Management
The over-arching Portfolio Management, strategy and plan (including Industrial Partners and IoT network partners) ensuring the commercial management, alignment and performance of the portfolio, propositions, products & services.
Pro-actively engaging and managing key stakeholders across: Industry solutions leads, Telefόnica Group Operations, partners and IoT internal areas (Devices, Kite platform, marketing)  to align strategies and consolidate into a single Business roadmap – helping to deliver an over-arching commercial product plan and roadmap.

Product Management
The product development and product management required to build, evolve and grow performance in line with the product and business strategy of Industry Ready, which include internal and external (partner and group) delivered services.

Embed a Industrial solution portfolio approach to planning, ensuring optimum optimisation and prioritisation of features against roadmap. Including different Industrial IoT Solutions in Mining, Industrial Automation, Ports, Airports, Logistic verticals.

Embed New IoT Networks including Private LTE networks (including technologies like NB-IOT and CAT-M1), ensuring optimum optimisation and prioritisation of features against roadmap. Desirable 5G network knowledge.
 
Ensure products and projects are developed and managed to the relevant security and compliance levels.

BACKGROUND:

• 'Bachelor's degree, B.S. in Telecomunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field.
• MS or MBA is a plus
• Agile product development process is a plus

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

• Effective communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement interdepartmental processes and procedures designed to support common network, product and sales goals.Proven ability to develop and implement interdepartmental processes and procedures designed to support common network, product and sales goals.
• Strong design skills and problem solving capabilities.
• Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
• The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.

• Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Understanding of 4G/LTE network elements.
• Basic understanding of 5G Evolution.
• High proficiency in understanding network densification, spectrum allocation, ERAN and coverage and capacity solutions (4G/5G).
• Basic understanding of 5G Evolution.
• Desirable experience with relevant Supply Chain technologies such as ERP, MES - Manufacturing Execution Systems, WMS - Warehouse Management Systems and AGV - Autonomous Guided Vehicles.

LANGUAGES:

• Spanish: Bilingual - High
• English: Bilingual - High
• German/Portuguese - Beneficial

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Three or more years of Product Management experience.
• Three or more years of telecommunications experience and LTE proficiency.
• High proficiency in understanding network densification,  ERAN and coverage and capacity solutions (4G/5G).
• Knowledgeable on how the Telefonica Wireless network is architected as well as how to design and integrate solutions into the network.
• A full understanding of the impacts of any new feature on the existing operation and performance of the network.
