Communications Manager, Spain
Temporary position for two years (extendable to 3). It also implies a close collaboration with the Portuguese market.
Within H&M a Communication Manager is responsible for all strategic external and internal communication planning, messaging and media relations as well as serving as H&M’s official company spokesperson for corporate/brand issues.
In this position you will develop communication strategies for some of the main collections and campaigns. You will maintain a daily contact with the media and work hand in hand with departments such as marketing and merch to design the best PR strategy by putting the customer in the center. The production of events and the coordination with agencies are also important tasks from this position.
You will be part of a team whose mission is to raise the value of the H&M brand as well as support sales, by spreading the messages of H&M and our collections through opinion leaders – our staff, media and influencers.

Experience from working with media, both proactively (like selling in H&M related news) and reactively
(like making interviews about H&M, crisis issues etc)
Experience from organizing press events and working with social media
Proven ability to achieve results working both strategically and operationally
Fast pace, high energy work style and values driven
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Communicates in an inspiring way with ability to negotiate, persuade and counsel effectively
Having a well-established network within main fashion and corporate media in the market
Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment and fostering a strong team collaboration
Very strong organizational and time management skills
Vast knowledge and experience in crisis communications
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Fashion background and a sense of what is the right quality level
Ability to travel both locally in Mexico and internationally at least 50% of the time
Fluent written and spoken English and preferably Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
The assignment is based in Barcelona (Spain) and will be on an expat contract during two years (extendable to three).
