Data Engineer en Madrid

The Amazon Business team is looking for a talented and passionate Data Engineer who wants to disrupt the way businesses purchase their supplies on Amazon.com.
The Amazon Business builds solutions to enable enterprise customers to discover and buy business, industrial and scientific products in large catalogs, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer base. They range from individual professionals to businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities.

As a Data Engineer in Amazon Business team, you should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business analysts and engineers to determine how best to design the data warehouse for reporting and analytics. You should be an expert in the architecture of data warehouse solutions for the Enterprise using multiple platforms. You should excel in the design, creation, management, and business use of large and complex datasets. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable processes to publish data and build solutions to reconcile data in the data warehouse platform to support the rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for data, and use it to deliver the data as service which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making. You should have the ability to develop and tune SQL to provide optimized solutions to the business.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
· 4y+ industry experience
· Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
· Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
· Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
· Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with automation using either Shell scripting , Python or other similar languages

· Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
· Industry experience as a Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Scientist, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
· Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
· Excellent knowledge of Advanced SQL working with large data sets.
· Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
· Experience with AWS Technologies including (S3, Redshift, Quicksight, etc.).
