MISSION:

Within Core Innovation, Video Innovation’s mission is to create the vision of the future of video. Our objective is to uncover, through customer and market insights, the next horizon in this space leveraging Telefonica's unique assets. Through our work we will revolutionise the way that content is produced, discovered, consumed and paid for, distinguising ourselves a market leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are creating a revolutionary way to enjoy video content, adapted to your way of consuming it both at home and on the go. In this exciting project, your responsibility will be to code the necessary services so that the mobile application shows the right videos, to the right people, at the right moment.
We need people who are obsessed with code quality, unit testing and performance, while keeping things simple.

Responsibility:
•    Transform product team output into efficient Python code as fast as possible. Challenge this output when you think there's another way.
• Create the required integrations with Telefónica's video platforms
• Fast adaption to customers' requirements and fast prototyping to validate hypothesis
• Code guidelines, selection of libraries and environment, continuous deployment
• Bring fresh ideas to the table for maximum decoupling, efficiency and performance
• Be realistic with estimations and raise a red flag when something needs deeper analysis or re-prioritization.
 

EDUCATION:

Computer science / Engineer / Physics / Math or equivalent

SKILLS:

•    Team player
•    Results - oriented

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

Must have:
•    Python 3
•REST/JSON APIs creation and consumption
•MongoDB, Redis
•Flask, Asyncio, gunicorn
•GitHub

Nice to have: 
•RabbitMQ
•    Linux and shell scripting
•Agile methodologies
•Continuous deployment using Jenkins, dockers, kubernetes/openShift
 

EXPERIENCE:

+2years of experience as Python developer
Experience developing and deploying production grade Python web servers, using MongoDb/Redis
Accustomed to read, comprehend and propose improvements to other developers' code using GitHub
Able to work out of his/her comfort zone (other technologies or roles required occasionaly by the product)

Spanish, English
