AREA DESCRIPTIION:

At Network Innovation, We are inventing Telefonica’s networks of tomorrow walking the Path of Innovation. Are you familiar with SDN, Virtualization, IPv6 networking, Linux admin, open source and Internet services architecture? Are you interested in deploying an ambitious field trial delivering new brand services and capabilities to hundreds of users?  

We are transforming the Edge of Telefonica’s Network using an IPv6-only architecture, SDN and NFV open source technologies by deploying cloud resources at the doorstep of our customers. This will enable us to transform the way we will provide existing services and will enable us to create a new generation of network services taking profit of extraodinary end-to-end low latencies and computation, storage and flexible comms at the edge of Telefonica Networks.

MISSION:

You will be joining a team of highly motivated entrepreneurs that have decided to transform Telefónica Network and change the game rules disrupting Network actual ecosystem.
Your responsibility will be coordinating with the use-case architects, Telco infrastructure engineers at the OBs, international experts and Onlife developers in order to develop a field trial  continuous integration and the deployment of the solution for Telefonica’s central offices enabling edge computing. Additionally, you will be also in charge of the quality assurance strategy for the solution.

You should have a fair technical background and, evven more relevant, ability to learn innovative architectures and face related challenges and milestones.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop, test, deploy and assess a field trial to proof ONLIFE and Edge Computing goals.
For that you must be comfortable using the following technologies:

Technological environment
Networking
 • TPC/IP. Routing, Monitoring tools, security analysis tools, firewall, NAT. Internet protocols: TCP/UDP, HTTP.
 • IPv6. Addressing, ICMPv6 (SLAAC, ND), DHCPv6/DHCPv6-PD, NAT64/DNS64.
 • Internet services architectures, Cloud architectures, network virtualization and SDN.
 • Experience with live network equipment.
 • Experiencie with network starndards and standarization bodies.
Operating Systems and Development
 • Linux admin skills, Linux advanced networking skills
 • Scripting (bash, perl, php) and network programming skills (python, Java, Nodejs)
 • Web development (AngularJS, Django, javascript)
 • Network and protocol oriented development from transport to application level.
 • Experience with opens source projects (tools, containers, lib, etc).
Team tools
 • Communication tools, Collaborative tools
 • JIRA

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Telecommunications, Computer science, Electronic engineering

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Collaboration, being able to work by himslef, comfortable with uncertainty

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

Programming in some of the languages specified above

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

2 years of professional experience

LANGUAGES:

Fluent in Spanish and English
