Main Responsabilities
Working as part of the European IT team to deliver the appropriate system architecture and infrastructure solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
Operational support of the IT function at Hertz branches to agreed service levels
Support of IT installations for Hertz locations, including opening/closing/moves
Maintain the European IT infrastructure/ applications by monitoring performance and capacity.
Maintain a service management attitude, promoting best practice throughout the IT team.
Ensure Service Level Commitments are met and improvement opportunities are highlighted.
Maintain mission critical systems / IT infrastructure at all times.
Managing own competing priorities and dependencies, liaise with European IT Analysts to ensure optimum usage of time.
Work within schedules, time estimates, and project plans for all deliverables, following established work processes (1053 etc.).
Track own involvement project milestones, identify problem areas before they influence the project.
Provide regular communication of progress as required.
Ensure self development plans are followed and training attended, when scheduled.
Coach new members of staff to ensure IT/ business expectations are met on a consistent basis.
Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Promote existing and emerging technologies, to provide input on guidelines and roadmaps for future IT infrastructure developments.
Contribute to the smooth operation of the IT function in Europe.
Knowledge
Awareness of an ITIL framework.
Knowledge / experience of third party supplier / vendor management
Knowledge and experience of quality management principles and processes.
Knowledge of technical terms in both native and English language is mandatory
Experience
Experience in working on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Experience of 3+ in Field Support – Remote & On-site
Skills
Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions and take actions.
Highly self motivated and directed with an attention to detail and strong customer service focus.
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines within a highly demanding technical environment.
Ability to travel if needed over Europe as a member of the IT European virtual team
