Organizational context
The overall Agile organization is using the following principles: Tribes, Squads, Chapters and Comunity of Expertise.
In a Squad, the members (from 5 to 9) all sit together to design, develop, test, and release to production a valuable software. In the Squad, the Product Owner priorities the work.
The Tribe is a collection of Squads (limited to 100 people) that work in related areas.
The Chapter is a transversal regroupment by similar skills or general competency area. The Chapter Lead is responsible for developing people & setting salaries but remain part of Squad & does day to day work.
The Community of Expertise is a group of people that want to share knowledge, tools, code, and practices.
The Front End Engineer is a member of a Squad - itself in a Tribe - , and Chapter. Depending on the need and profile, he/she can also be part of a Community of Expertise.
Job Description
As a Member of the Squad, the Front End Software Engineer contribute to all type of tasks of the team such as Analyse, Design, Code, Test, Build, Release and Support.
The day to day work is done the Agile way following Scrum, Kanban, XP or any other good best practices.
As part of the Squad the objective of the Software Engineer Front End, is:
As Front End Expert, he/she specifically add value on that technical layer but always keep in mind the rest of the technical stack as part of the Squad responsibilities, as part of its responsibilities.
Major responsibility areas
Stories Refinement
Refine the User Stories and Tasks into SubTasks doable in less that 2 days by Squad member.
Refine the Accceptance Criteria
Coding
Code with the following criteria:
Test
Met the Accceptance criteria with as much test automation as possible
Respect Maker / Checker Principle
Backlog Management
The Backlog is the Product Owner Reponsibility, but any team member can help him/her:

Generate working software release
