Trainee In-house Proofreader/Translator en Barcelona

Lo que vas a hacer

For the new Datawords Office in Barcelona as part of the German Project coordination and translation team based in Paris (HQ).

While highly adaptable, first-rate German writing/editing/translation skills are central to the position, the right candidate must display proficiency in proofreading, main task requested for this position.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Multilingual Production Department of the Barcelona office, directly attached to the Paris Multilingual Division, the trainee in-house Proofreader/Translator’s primary responsibilities will include:

• Quality control of German projects in a wide variety of styles and terminology
• Linguistic Project Coordination in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment in collaboration with the HQ German Team in Paris                               
• Working closely with internal production HQ teams in Paris

Requirements         

• Education and professional experience in Germany
• Great adaptability: appreciation for a young and multicultural work environment
• Strong work ethic, team player, dedicated to see challenging projects through to completion
• Working languages: French and English bilingual required
• Excellent knowledge of office tools (office suite) required, computer savvy
• Experience with Trados a plus

Conditions

• Job based in Barcelona
• Trainee contract of 6 months, with the possibility of a permanent contract
• 700€/month
• Vacancy starting ASAP
• Full time, 40 hours weekly
