The Team
 
IQVIA Real-World Insights (RWI) teams work with clients worldwide to help them use complex, clinically rich, patient-level healthcare datasets to answer their specific research questions, make more informed decisions, and deliver results. We are collaborative, intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, and constantly looking for opportunities to harness the value of Real-World Evidence (RWE) in a constantly evolving industry.
 

  • Geographic data source and technical assessments to support capability expansion.
  • Enhancing data management and analysis capabilities of both primary collected information and existing databases.

Role
 
As a Consultant, you will join a high profile, talented and fast paced team, actively participating and supporting the development and delivery of Enriched Studies. You must thrive in a collaborative environment where you can leverage globally extensive assets of IQVIA to accelerate new business growth, as well as in-depth expertise in areas such as observational research, epidemiology and data management.  You must provide high quality, on-time input to both client projects and offering development projects (non-client projects). Assignments range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to assisting in the development of more complex solutions working across geographies and business units. This will span across tasks that are technical, process-driven and scientific, working with teams across various countries and functional areas. You will also learn from working closely with senior leaders in the organization, as well as other team members leading the team’s business development and delivery efforts.
 
Principal Accountabilities
 

 
Client engagement responsibilities and skills:                                                   
  • Manage client relationships including face-to-face and teleconference discussions; execution of workshops and conferences; and delivery of written reports.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions.
  • Manage smaller components of larger workstreams.
  • Develop, and at times present, complete client deliverables within known/identified frameworks and methodologies.
  • Participate in proposal development and in the bid-defence process with guidance and supervision.
  • Support planning and management of resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
  • Develop broad knowledge of related consulting and/or observational methodologies, as well as of the pharmaceutical market through the delivery of engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Acquire deep knowledge of IQVIA data sources and the broader RWD landscape.
  • Proactively delegate project tasks and manage execution of those tasks by analysts. 
 
 
Development project responsibilities and skills:
  • Responsible for creating tangible working plan and timelines, as well as assisting in refining the details of tasks.
  • Manage smaller components of larger workstreams.
  • Proactively search for information and resources to support informed decisions in the development of Enriched Studies, working closely with the senior business and scientific leaders.
  • Engage with external parties to understand and assess novel technologies, the competitive landscape, and research methodologies.
  • Provide informed point of view into the decision making and strategic planning for development projects.
  • Advance ambiguous or conceptual ideas into tangible and practical plans as part of the start-up and ongoing execution of development projects.


 

Job Requirements Skills and Experience
 
Candidates interested in joining as a Consultant will have:
  • Prior experience in healthcare with focus on real-world data.
  • Understanding of and interest in the international healthcare environment.
  • Managing priorities to meet deadlines while retaining consistently high quality outcomes.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing.
  • Competency in using Word and PowerPoint and developing clear storylines.
  • Flexibility in assignment to multiple work-stream projects and client studies.
 
In addition, it will be advantageous if candidates have the following skills:
  • Experience of working in sizable/multi-disciplined teams and supervising staff on cross-functional strategic projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to support strategic decision making on study designs.

  • Experience in product development, from initial concept development, market sizing through to product delivery plans.
 
Qualifications
 
In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining as a Consultant will have:
  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record in life sciences, economics/business/mathematics/statistics/computer science, and/or experience in the health care industry.
  • A postgraduate qualification in life sciences discipline is desirable although not essential.
  • Working experience of 2-3 years in related industry/field with preference for work in real-world research.
