Across Spain we employ around 300 people with over 15 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a Location Manger based at Santander.

What is this role all about?

The Location Manager is responsible for delivering revenue growth, margin improvement, continuous improvement in service quality, staff development and satisfaction, corporate and regulatory compliance, security & efficiency of assets, health & safety and positive representation of Hertz locally through both corporate image preservation and good citizenship.

The Location Manager will lead in a spirit of the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism linked to delivery of “Best in Class” customer service through employee empowered processes of continuous improvement.

The successful holder of this position will be able to lead, grow and maintain a cohesive and high performing team, identify, sponsor, and coach talent and renew local organisation effectiveness through the deployment of corporate improvement initiatives

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achievement of Operational goals and financial objectives as stated in the annual Business Plan for the location(s)

  • Ensure most effective utilisation and turnaround of vehicles and in accordance with reservation profile and customers needs, ensure vehicles provided to customers are in perfect mechanical and clean condition in accordance with Hertz standards

  • Deliver exceptional service quality in line with Hertz standards and develop actions to effectively differentiate Hertz at each rental location; ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction

  • Personally manage key customer relationships and assist and support staff in dealing with customer issues and complaints

  • Execute a plan to grow Hertz Market Share by achieving revenue growth through the Sales for Service Option Revenue and through the delivery of excellent customer service

  • Analyse financial and operational data for renting locations and develop action plans to improve Financial and Operations performance of the locations

  • Plan, and actively drive all yield management activities and provide data and input to the Area Manager in order to realise yield management and pricing opportunities

  • Liaise and closely work with Fleet Distribution in the area of fleet supply and fleet utilisation. Manage fleet at the location(s) to maximise utilisation and ensure Fleet resources are effectively deployed through effective weekly and daily planning and Fleet management and in line with agreed budgets and targets

  • Plan and organise vehicle logistics such as delivery and collection of cars to customers, hotels, etc. (where applicable)

  • Plan, schedule, manage and monitor staffing levels in line with business volume and targets

  • Arrange for and hold daily briefings with all staff to communicate strategies and actions relating to

  • Conduct all business in accordance with Hertz policies and procedures, as measured by ratings on Standard Quality audits, internal financial audits, PID audits and other applicable external audits

Requisitos

What do we need from you?

  • Desirable University degree or equivalent plus

  • Minimun 2 years’ experience in an appropriate managerial position.

  • Ability to work in a Multibrand environment (3/4 brands to manageNative Spanish speaker. High level of English mandator

  • Managing employees effectively, including; training, developing, setting expectations and disciplining

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

  • Good planning, organising and time management skills

  • Customer Service and Selling skills

  • Problem solving and decision making

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
