Overview of the Role
As a Partnerships & Business Development Specialist focused on the Spanish SME market, you will play a pivotal role in expanding HCLTech’s footprint within the region’s dynamic SaaS and fintech ecosystems. You will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and managing strategic partnerships that drive growth, enhance our product offerings, and create value for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed professionals. By leveraging your commercial acumen and industry insights, you will contribute directly to the company’s revenue objectives and market leadership.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new partnership opportunities within the Spanish SME and self-employed ecosystem, with a focus on SaaS, fintech, and accounting software domains.
- Engage and negotiate with potential partners, driving conversations that foster mutually beneficial collaborations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including fintech firms, business solution providers, and industry associations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales teams to align partnership initiatives with business goals and go-to-market strategies.
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance, providing regular updates and actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure structured documentation, rigorous follow-up, and seamless execution of partnership agreements and projects.
- Represent HCLTech at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and ecosystem presence.
Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or sales, preferably within SaaS, fintech, or SME-focused environments.
- Proven track record working with Spanish SMEs or the self-employed market.
- Strong commercial mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, structured in execution, and disciplined in follow-up.
- Comfortable operating in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and international setting.
- Language proficiency: Native or fluent Spanish; professional working proficiency in English.
Other Requirements (Optional)
- Prior experience with accounting, invoicing, or financial software ecosystems is a strong advantage.
- Additional certifications in business development, sales, or partnership management are a plus.
- Familiarity with digital transformation trends and SaaS business models within the SME segment.
