Position: DIGITAL COLLECTIONS TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

AREA DESCRIPTION:
As part of Corporate Treasury, the Digital Collections Area is responsible for the definition, implementation and commercial launch of the Digital Collection Platform (DCP), aimed to create a unique and common framework for digital payments and collections to avoid the currently existing fragmentation and payment security issues in the Operating Businesses throughout the group, with a clear focus on bank account rationalization driven by a need to reduce costs, increase control and enable central governance on bank relationships.
MISSION:
Reporting into the Corporate Treasury area, the candidate will collaborate on the functional & technical definition, implementation and deployment of new digital collections capabilities for internal services and sales channels in Telefonica with a global approach, built on top of currently existing digital payment assets in the company. The candidate will work with IT/PMO areas (global and local) to define, plan, support and deliver new implementations, and will have to manage involved providers to achieve final delivery.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Defines, in close collaboration with the IT and technical architecture areas in different markets, the collections capabilities required by Telefonica’s operational businesses (functional/technical definition).
- Clearly articulates the functional/technical proposed solution and communicates it to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Keeps a close relationship with the IT, PMO and OAM internal areas involved in the project lifecycle.
- Controls the activities of involved providers/partners, and takes the responsibility to track the activity to meet the deadlines.
- Monitors deployed projects, gathering valuable information to improve the functionality of subsequent releases.
- Ensures that every new implementation complies with card payment security standards and regulations, and follows the best practices on security and fraud prevention in the payment industry.
EXPERIENCE: At least 4 years in the following areas:
- Experience in working with telecommunication systems & services.
- Experience in defining, planning and delivering new services (on a technical perspective)
- Experience in card payment services and infrastructure.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- University degree on Telecommunications or Computer Science
- Specific training on card payment ecosystem (systems, platforms, services, networks, standards, protocols, regulations, directives, etc) would be much appreciated.
- Specific training on project management (initiating, planning, executing, tracking) would be much appreciated.

- Knowledge of and skills in telecommunication & payment ecosystem areas.

IT KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Card Payment ecosystem services and infrastructure would be much appreciated
- Telecom operator main capabilities, systems and services
- Project planning
- SaaS and on-premise deployments (hosting/housing)
- Operational model definition (support levels, escalation plan, SLAs)
LANGUAJES SKILLS:
- Spanish & English : Strong skills, spoken and written on a business level both writing and speaking in this language
- Portuguese: (Nice to have) Intermediate skills, spoken and written on a business level both writing and speaking
