King’s College Summer Programmes is recruiting for its Summer Camps in Spain for 2017.
We are looking for teachers who base their classes around games, songs and projects. If selected for an interview, please be prepared to explain how you would implement these aspects into your classes daily and maintain a high level of activity, movement and interest amongst the students. We are looking for teachers to fill positions in Madrid (Soto de Viñuelas, La Moraleja, Legamar, Club de Campo), Cantabria, and Cadiz.
Teachers who are selected for camps in the Madrid area will occupy a more traditional role of teacher within the classroom with access to numerous materials for arts and crafts and weekly projects. There are smartboards in every classroom, so familiarity with their use is essential to being selected for a position.
Teachers who apply for and are selected for camps outside of Madrid are required to have a background not only within the traditional classroom setting but be or have been an active participant in sports, particularly those associated with mountain and water activities. External camps are what we refer to as a "24 hour role". You will be there to wake the children up, escort them to their meals, participate and organize activities for them, go on excursions, participate in adventure as well as night games and be a role model to the children who attend the camp. Please take into consideration that this is a highly gratifying experience but not for those who lack patience or are uncomfortable spending large portions of their day surrounded by children.
