Juno Genetics is a state-of-the-art laboratory specialising in genetic testing. Our mission is to provide clinically useful information of the highest quality for couples who are planning to start a family, patients undergoing fertility treatments, and for women who are already pregnant.

Juno’s goal is to provide innovative and efficient solutions in the field of assisted reproduction.

Its services have been specially developed to:

• Aid professionals working in reproductive medicine with the diagnosis and treatment of their patients by providing reliable tests that provide medically actionable information, based upon a solid scientific foundation.
• Help future parents to have healthy babies, by detecting common genetic abnormalities that prevent a viable pregnancy, reducing risks of embryo implantation failure, miscarriage and abnormal pregnancies.

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician who join us in the new Genetic Laboratory in Valencia.

You will primarily be responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient running of our Laboratory and to ensure safe, rapid, timely and accurate reporting of results.

We want to find someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.

The main responsabilities are:

• Participate in all areas of wet laboratory work, with careful reference to standard operating procedures and be actively involved in their regular review and update.
• Undertake specimen preparation and processing for a range of sample types.
• Evaluate and monitor the accuracy and precision of laboratory investigations using appropriate quality control procedures.
• Adhering to documented procedures for all aspects of laboratory work, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
• Reception and registration of samples on receipt
• Preparation of shipping boxes with various components and shipping documents
• Checking stock levels of all consumables. Replacing stocks of consumables and reagents when required and informing the Section Leader if back-up stocks are low.
• Updating the laboratory quality control metrics on a regular basis
• Data transcription work such as transferring results to the Juno database prior to reporting.
• Other administrative work as required.
• Liaising with clinics and others in a polite and detailed manner to achieve shared outcomes and goals.
• To assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory
• Adhering to quality management standards of the laboratory.
• To assist when required in the preparation of documentation for ISO accreditation.

We value experience in a similar position, interest in the sector and an intermediate level of English.
