Your role and work environment:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Analyst ready to kick-start a career within banking.

ING’s Debt Capital Markets Iberia offers a career path in the very dynamic and competitive world of Investment Banking. You will be part of the Strategic Products team within ING WB Spain & Portugal, based in Madrid, and will have the opportunity to collaborate, support and learn from different areas and have international exposure.

Your key responsibilities:

Support the Head of Debt Capital Markets in Iberia, and in some occasions other Strategic Products departments, in the origination and execution of DCM transactions:

• Origination activities include (i) drafting marketing materials; (ii) detailed analysis of companies including financial ratios and performance, credit ratings, ESG ratings (iii) preparation of new issue pricing updates and (iv) monitoring sector information and collection of market data and dynamics and share it with clients

Execution activities include (i) processing of documents for internal project approvals (KYC, greenlights, credit packs, presentations for senior management, etc); (ii) preparation of Investor Presentations, Term Sheets, NDA agreements, etc; (iii) coordination of Road Shows; and (iv) day-to-day process coordination and communication both internally and with clients and other advisers

What are we looking for?

Education: Strong graduate academic background in business administration, economics, finance or similar. Additional postgraduate qualifications in banking, financial markets, CFA, etc. is desired.

Experience: previous internship experience in banking, finance or consultancy.

Business competencies:

• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in the use of MS office tools.
• Excellent English both writing and speaking is a must.
• Basic Bloomberg user experience

Personal skills:

• Hard worker with ability to drive multiple activities in parallel.
• Attention to detail and delivery of top-quality documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player).
• Enthusiasm and ambition to learn.
