Your role and work environment:

ING is restructuring its processes, controls, and infrastructure to transform itself into a Digital Bank with the goal of end-to-end “straight through processing”.

Operational Risk Management uses sound principles of risk management to ensure that the quality of everything related to operational risk (fraud, personal and physical security, ...) and security aspects of information within the ING Bank are maintained at acceptable levels, proportionate to its value and criticality and within risk appetite of the Bank.

As Expert ORM your role is to:

• Be a trusted ORM advisor towards business management
• Be an expert in the field of ORM/Business Continuity Risk Management, possessing in-depth knowledge of E2E processes.
• You are able to deal with and advise on complex and difficult matters that are a major concern to senior management of ING Bank and its branches.
• Be an advisor, who directs, advises and supports the identification, analysis and mitigation by IT / business of risks to ING that result from inadequate security of information (supporting business applications, IT processes, databases and supporting infrastructure), with the aim of assuring reliability of information, integrity and the availability of systems.
• You challenge and monitor Non Financial risk management processes and quality.
• Create and publish strategic risk analyses, mitigation plans with defined actions with fact finding, research and documenting;
• Analyze and look for root cause of risks, events, incidents.. and be able to perform deep dives.
• Perform QA reviews as part of our second line function.
• Participate in, challenge and periodically report upon the risks of key strategic programs and projects;
• Participate and challenge in risk assessments on specific Operational Risk or Information Risk projects and programs, taking direction over junior ORM, BCM and IRM colleagues;
• Develop and maintain training modules, and train the  business community about Non-Financial Risk (NFR) .
• Support the ORM team with research, fact finding, collecting evidence and documenting activities;
• Support the ORM team in the reporting on Control, Processing, Fraud, Personal and Physical Security, IT, Continuity Risk, etc…
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Corporate ING ORM Strategy, Framework, Policies, Minimum Standards, Procedures, Methods and Techniques;
• Identify external / internal developments, initiatives and threats.
• Contribute to the identification of the impact of and the coordination of responses to law and regulatory changes, ECB reports, etc. and monitors the follow-up of the regulatory issue solving.

Your key responsibilities:

• Support, challenge and monitor NFR risk management processes and quality.
• Generate awareness related to risk management, within the Organization.
• Keep the non financial risk profile of the Bank within risk appetite.
• Perform periodical QA reviews as part of our second line function.
• Develop and maintain training modules, and train the  business community about Non-Financial Risk (NFR) .
• Support the ORM team in the reporting on Control, Processing, Fraud, Personal and Physical Security, IT, Continuity Risk, etc…
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Corporate ING ORM Strategy, Framework, Policies, Minimum Standards, Procedures, Methods and Techniques;

Risks analysis and testing&monitoring methodologies

Monitoring the design and effectiveness of controls

Identifying and assesing risks

Anti-Fraud, Security and Processing risks

Information Technology/Business Continuity Risk Management

Data analysis to be predictive in identifying risks and defining and implementing controls.

Professional English and Spanish proficiency

Is an ace in:

Analytical and negotiating capabilities

Presentation, facilitation and reporting skills

Teamwork

Has worked in:

Non-financial risk related (Operational Risk Management, Information Risk Management, Anti-Fraud,…) and/or business process at least 5 years, preferably in Banking / Financial sector.
