Boeing Research & Technology is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer expert in Modeling & Simulation . The position can be located in our offices either in Madrid, Spain OR Munich, Germany.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct research and/or support to product development in this field, with emphasis in software, systems engineering and modeling and simulation of aircraft systems.
Contribute to the development of novel engineering methods, processes, training and tools
Develop and document novel ideas, file patent applications
Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.
Contribute to the preparation of original project proposals and capture funding
Find opportunities to integrate projects with other disciplines – adopt a multidisciplinary mindset
Promote maintain meaningful partnerships with internal and external partners and customers
Participate in Agile scrum teams
Occasional travel may be required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar with strong background in Systems Engineering, Software, Digitalization, Modeling & Simulation and research.
Engineering (2-5+ years of experience).
Demonstrated technical judgment and initiative. Self-motivation and Research Experience are a must.
+3 years’ experience in Modeling and Simulation
Experience with commercial off-the-shelf modeling & simulation tools. Matlab/Simulink is a must.
Demonstrated experience in Research and Physical Reasoning
Fluency in English language

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Systems Engineering and Product Development along the full lifecycle of an engineering product covering requirements management/definition, safety/reliability analysis, architectural definitions, integration and test
Deep understanding of modeling of systems and/or production systems is a strong plus.
Master Degree or PhD are a strong plus.
DS 3DX, MODELICA and similar are a strong plus.
Experience working with Aerospace Recommended Practices like ARP4754A and RTCA standards like DO-331 and DO-178C is a strong plus.
Experience with software, model and hardware-in-the-loop testing is a strong plus.
Experience in Product Lifecycle Management using tools like DS 3DX is a strong plus.
SysML, java, C, C++ and Linux are a strong plus.
Knowledge in airplane systems and/or airplane production systems is a strong plus.
Experience setting up Continuous Integration and Deployment frameworks and deploying cloud services is a strong plus.
Scrum and Agile are a strong plus.
Experience in automotive or other industries is a strong plus.
Previous work/College experience in multicultural environments will be very useful.
Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
